Alan was a wonderful friend and neighbour. He was a Renaissance man who made delicious pies, played wonderful musical recordings and painted interesting pictures. Alan was a true neighbour in every sense. It was always a pleasure to meet him on the door-step for a chat. We will miss his humour and conversations about the world, books and football. We will always remember him with great fondness. Keep dancing Alan.
